College of Natural and Computational Sciences (CNCS)
The College of Natural and Computational Sciences (CNCS) at Adigrat University was established to provide advanced education, research, and training in the fundamental and applied sciences, mathematics, and computing. The College serves as a hub for fostering scientific inquiry, innovation, and technological advancement in Northern Ethiopia, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to address contemporary scientific and technological challenges.
Initially, the College offered core undergraduate programs in the natural sciences, mathematics, and computer science. Over time, it has expanded to include multiple departments covering biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Several departments now also provide postgraduate programs (regular and summer), reflecting the College’s growing academic and research capacity.
From its inception, the College has been dedicated to producing competent scientists, mathematicians, and computing professionals who contribute to knowledge generation, innovation, and national development. The College delivers high-quality education, applied research, and community services aligned with Ethiopia’s scientific and technological priorities.
With an emphasis on interdisciplinary research, innovation, and problem-solving, the College continues to evolve as a center of academic excellence, preparing graduates to excel in scientific research, technological development, and data-driven decision-making.

Academic Programs
The College offers multiple BSc programs and is expanding MSc and other postgraduate programs in selected fields. Curricula are continuously updated to align with global scientific trends, national priorities, and technological demands.
