Message from the Vice President for Administration and Development
At Adigrat University, the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Development is dedicated to fostering an efficient, transparent, and well-coordinated administrative framework that underpins the University’s academic, research, and community service missions. We are committed to creating a professional and supportive environment where faculty, staff, and students can thrive, and where institutional resources are managed responsibly and effectively.
Our office oversees several critical executive units that ensure smooth and reliable University operations:
- Human Resource Development Executive Office – Manages recruitment, training, staff development, performance appraisal, and employee welfare programs, ensuring that the University has a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Finance and Administration Executive Office – Oversees budgeting, financial planning, and accounting processes, maintaining fiscal responsibility and transparency across all University activities.
- Procurement Executive Office – Coordinates the acquisition of goods and services efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulations while promoting value for money and timely delivery of resources.
- Property Administration Executive Office – Manages University assets, including buildings, land, and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance, utilization, and accountability.
- Facilities Management Executive Office – Responsible for maintaining safe, functional, and modern facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, offices, and other infrastructure, to support teaching, learning, and research.
- Basic Services Executive Office – Provides essential operational support, including utilities, transportation, security, and general services, to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the University.
Through these coordinated efforts, the Vice President’s Office aims to strengthen institutional capacity, promote operational efficiency, and support the University’s long-term strategic development. By integrating best administrative practices with innovative solutions, we create a stable and enabling environment that allows the University to focus on academic excellence, research innovation, and meaningful community engagement.
