Adigrat University Conducts Internal Program Review Validation Workshop for Undergraduate Academic Programs.

The College of Natural and Computational Sciences (CNCS) and the College of Business and Economics (CBE) of Adigrat University successfully conducted an Internal Program Review Validation Workshop for their undergraduate academic programs.

The workshop brought together academic staff from both colleges, members of the University’s Institutional Reform Committee (IRC), academic program experts, and scholars from various colleges to validate the findings of the internal program review and strengthen the quality and relevance of the University’s academic programs.

The validation workshop forms part of Adigrat University’s ongoing institutional reform initiatives aimed at enhancing academic quality, improving program relevance, and aligning academic programs with national and international higher education standards.

Opening the workshop, Assistant Professor Mengisteab G/Hiwot, Dean of the College of Natural and Computational Sciences, welcomed participants and expressed his appreciation to the program review teams, reviewers, and all stakeholders whose dedication and collaborative efforts ensured the successful completion of the internal review process. He officially declared the workshop open.

In his remarks, Assistant Professor Meseret Meresa, Dean of the College of Business and Economics, emphasized that continuous review and improvement of academic programs are essential to producing competent graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to compete in both national and international labor markets.

Speaking on behalf of the Academic Programs Directorate, Mr. Girmay Tadele, Director of Academic Programs, underscored the strategic importance of the validation workshop as a key milestone in the University’s academic reform agenda. He noted that the successful completion of the internal review process would serve as a foundation for subsequent activities, including external program reviews, academic audits, and national and international accreditation.

The workshop concluded with comprehensive presentations of the program review findings, followed by constructive discussions and validation of recommendations. Participants reaffirmed the University’s commitment to continuous quality improvement, academic excellence, and institutional transformation.

The successful completion of the validation workshop marks another important step toward ensuring that Adigrat University’s academic programs meet nationally and internationally recognized standards of quality.
