Adigrat University Takes Part in the 3rd ACUE General Assembly.

The President of Adigrat University, Dr. Gebremichael Woldegebriel, is participating in the 3rd General Assembly of the Association of Comprehensive Universities of Ethiopia (ACUE), currently underway at Kebri Dehar University.

The national gathering brings together leaders of Ethiopia’s comprehensive universities to discuss strategic priorities for advancing higher education. Key agenda items include strengthening research and innovation, improving academic quality, accelerating institutional development, and enhancing collaboration among member universities.

The first day of the assembly featured in-depth discussions on major shared priorities, while a field visit is scheduled for the second day of the event.

Adigrat University’s participation reflects its continued commitment to contributing to national higher education reforms and fostering stronger institutional partnerships across the country.

Adigrat University Holds Farewell and Appreciation Program Following the Successful Completion of the Grade 12 National Examination

Adigrat University held a farewell and appreciation program to mark the successful completion of the 2018 E.C. Grade 12 National School Leaving Examination, which was administered online over a period of three weeks in six rounds.

The event was organized to recognize the dedication and contributions of examination center coordinators, supervisors, and invigilators whose commitment ensured the smooth and successful administration of the national examination.

During the program, the University’s senior management extended heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Education, the Ethiopian Educational Assessment and Examinations Service, invigilators, the Federal Police, ICT and technical professionals, and the entire Adigrat University community for their invaluable contributions to the success of the examination.

Representatives and invigilators from various universities and regional education bureaus also commended Adigrat University for its exemplary organization, strong institutional commitment, and warm hospitality throughout the examination period.

The successful completion of the examination further demonstrates Adigrat University’s capacity to administer national digital examinations with professionalism, efficiency, and integrity.

ዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲን የበለጠ አረንጓዴና ውብ ለማድረግ ከታቀዱ የክረምት ወቅት መርሃ ግብሮች መካከል አንዱ የሆነው የችግኝ ተከላ መርሃ ግብር ዛሬ ሐምሌ 16/2018 ዓ.ም. በዩኒቨርሲቲው ተከናውኗል።

በመርሃ ግብሩ የዩኒቨርሲቲው አመራሮች፣ መምህራንና ሠራተኞች፣ የ12ኛ ክፍል ሀገር አቀፍ መልቀቂያ ፈተና ተፈታኝ ተማሪዎች፣ የፈተና አስፈጻሚዎች፣ ከተለያዩ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች የመጡ ፈታኝ መምህራን፣ የፌደራል ፖሊስ አባላት እንዲሁም የፌደራል ዋና ኦዲተር መሥሪያ ቤት ባለሙያዎች በንቃት ተሳትፈዋል።

የችግኝ ተከላ መርሃ ግብሩ በተቀናጀና በተደራጀ መልኩ በመቀጠል የዩኒቨርሲቲውን ገጽታ በሚያሻሽልና የበለጠ አረንጓዴ በሚያደርግ ሁኔታ እስከ ሐምሌ 30/2018 ዓ.ም. ድረስ ይከናወናል።

የችግኝ ተከላ መርሃ ግብሩ የዩኒቨርሲቲውን አረንጓዴ ሽፋን ለማሳደግ፣ አካባቢን ለመጠበቅ እና የአካባቢ ጥበቃ ባህልን ለማጠናከር ያለመ ሲሆን፣ በተሳታፊዎች ከፍተኛ ተሳትፎና ቁርጠኝነት በተሳካ ሁኔታ ተጠናቋል።

Adigrat University Procures 10 Additional Dairy Cows to Strengthen Its Modern Agricultural Farm

Adigrat University’s College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences has procured 10 additional Holstein Friesian (HF) dairy cows, a globally recognized breed, to further strengthen the University’s modern agricultural farm located at the Mtsae Wurqi Campus. The University’s President, Dr. Gebremichael W/Gabriel, visited the farm to observe the newly acquired livestock and review the ongoing developments.

According to Associate Professor Niguse Gebru, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, the primary objective of establishing the modern farm is to serve the community through improved agricultural production and professional extension services while developing the facility into a nationally recognized center for agricultural and livestock research.

The Dean also expressed his sincere appreciation to the University’s top management for their unwavering commitment and continuous support in advancing the College’s initiatives and the development of the modern farm.

Dr. Teame G/Hiwot, Head of the Department of Animal Sciences and a researcher at the farm, explained that the farm will play a significant role in strengthening the University’s internal revenue generation. Beyond serving as a center for research and practical training, it is expected to contribute to the University’s long-term efforts toward financial sustainability and institutional self-reliance.

The College further indicated that, with the support of the Tigray Regional Agriculture Bureau

a large number of fish fingerlings have also been supplied to the farm. These will support the University’s efforts to advance research, expand community service, enhance practical learning opportunities, and promote sustainable agricultural development.
