Department of Marketing Management

Adigrat University is one of the Ethiopian public universities established in 2011 with the intention of producing highly qualified graduates who will be able to serve, with the highest possible dedication. Adigrat University committed to delivering quality education, conducting research, and serving the community to foster socio-economic development. Within the university’s structure, the Department of Marketing Management was founded in 2014 under the College of Business and Economics to meet Ethiopia’s need for hyper connected global economy shaped by rapid technological change and global market integration. It encompasses data analytics, digital ecosystems, artificial intelligence, ethical and sustainable branding, and customer experience innovation. With a mission to nurture to cultivate a new generation of agile, ethical, and future-ready marketing professionals. The program offers a comprehensive foundation in marketing principles while also emphasizing critical areas such as digital marketing, consumer behavior, market intelligence, brand strategy, integrated marketing communications, and strategic innovation. Since welcoming its first class students, the department has been engaging in teaching and learning processes and academic activities, research and community services, and professional development.

The Department of Marketing Management mission is to create competent professional graduates and have internationally renowned researchers whom effectively engage in quality teaching, conduct impactful research and provide wide range community service.

Thus, the department strives to be internationally recognized center of excellence in Marketing, producing graduates who are informed, responsible, and equipped to handle dynamic marketing challenges, fulfill professional responsibilities, and contribute to Ethiopia’s economic growth.

The department of Marketing Management integrate their professional to produce highly skilled and adaptable marketing professionals with a strong foundation in applied marketing principles and practices who can effectively contribute to the economic development of Ethiopia by developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies that create value for businesses and customers..
