Department of Accounting and Finance

Established in 2011, Adigrat University is one of Ethiopia’s public institutions committed to delivering quality education, conducting research, and serving the community to foster socio-economic development. Within the university’s structure, the Department of Accounting and Finance was founded in the same year under the College of Business and Economics to meet Ethiopia’s need for responsible. Since welcoming its first class students, the department has been engaging in teaching and learning processes and academic activities, research and community services, and professional development.  

Mission

The Department of Accounting and Finance’s mission is to create competent professional graduates and have internationally renowned researchers whom effectively engage in quality teaching, conduct impactful research and provide wide range community service.

Vision 

The vision of the vision of Department of Accounting and Finance is congruent with that of the institution and the college it belongs. Thus, the department strives to be internationally recognized center of excellence in Accounting and Finance, producing graduates who are informed, responsible, and equipped to handle ethical challenges, fulfill professional responsibilities, and contribute to Ethiopia’s growth.
