College of Business and Economics (CBE)
The College of Business and Economics (CBE) at Adigrat University was established to cultivate skilled professionals capable of driving economic growth, management excellence, and entrepreneurial innovation in Northern Ethiopia. Since its founding, the College has been a cornerstone of the University’s mission to provide high-quality education, applied research, and professional training in business, economics, and management disciplines.
In its early years, the College offered a limited number of undergraduate programs focused on core business and economic studies. Over time, it has expanded to include multiple departments covering management, accounting, finance, marketing, economics, and entrepreneurship. Several departments now also offer postgraduate programs (regular and summer), reflecting the College’s growing academic capacity and contribution to national development.
From its inception, the College has been dedicated to producing competent business leaders, economists, and managers who can address challenges in both local and global markets. The College delivers quality education, applied research, and community services aligned with Ethiopia’s economic development priorities and global business trends.
With an emphasis on innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic practices, the College continues to evolve as a center of academic excellence and practical solutions, preparing graduates to succeed in competitive business environments and contribute to socio-economic development.

Academic Programs
The College offers multiple BSc programs and has plans to expand MSc and other postgraduate programs in selected fields. Curricula are regularly updated to align with global business trends, national priorities, and industry demands.
