College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Presents External Academic Program Review Report.

Adigrat University has presented the report of the External Academic Program Review conducted on seven academic departments under the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.

The event brought together the University’s senior management, faculty members, professionals, and representatives from various institutions. Reviewers from Jimma University, Hawassa University, Debre Markos University, Mekelle University, and Aksum University participated in the evaluation process. Experts from the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR) and agricultural research institutions in the Tigray Region also took part in the review. In addition, representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ethiopian Higher Education Agency (ETA), and other relevant institutions participated through the Zoom platform.

During the program, Associate Professor Niguse Gebru, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, introduced the review process and provided a detailed presentation on its objectives, methodology, and major activities undertaken. He noted that the primary purpose of the academic program review is to enhance the quality of education, align academic programs with national and global demands, and improve students’ competencies and learning outcomes.

In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Gebrekidan Tesfay, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Research, and Community Engagement, emphasized the importance of academic program reviews in ensuring educational quality and supporting the University’s future development. He further stated that the professional feedback provided by experts from various universities and institutions would significantly contribute to the continuous improvement of the College and the University as a whole.

A comprehensive discussion followed the presentation of the report, during which participants offered valuable comments, recommendations, and professional insights aimed at strengthening the academic programs. The review team responded to the issues raised and outlined key areas for improvement and future action.

Overall, the review forum served as an important platform for enhancing the College’s teaching, research, and community service activities. Participants agreed to work collaboratively to implement the recommendations and utilize the feedback received to further improve the quality and relevance of the academic programs.

Adigrat University School of Law Conducts Internal Program Review.

The School of Law at Adigrat University successfully conducted its Internal Program Review as part of its ongoing commitment to academic quality and continuous improvement.

During the review, the School’s Review Committee presented its findings and recommendations, focusing on curriculum relevance, alignment with national and regional justice system priorities, teaching and learning practices, and compliance with academic and professional standards.

Participants actively engaged in the discussion and provided valuable feedback and constructive suggestions to further strengthen the program.

The workshop concluded with a reaffirmation of the School’s commitment to enhancing the quality of legal education and developing a more responsive and practice-oriented law program.
