Adigrat, May 17, 2026 – Adigrat University marked a significant milestone as the first round of English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) graduates among its academic staff were honoured in a ceremony held at Debre Damo Hotel. The event brought together ELIP trainees and university officials to celebrate the achievements of the graduating cohort.

The ceremony featured a welcoming speech from Asst. prof. Araya Debalkew, Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH), followed by a congratulatory message from Dr. Gebrewahid Tsige, Coordinator of the English Language Improvement Centre (ELIC).

The event concluded with closing remarks from Asst. prof. Girmay Tadele, Director of Academic Programs. The ELIP program is part of Adigrat University’s ongoing efforts to enhance the English language proficiency of its academic staff, supporting quality education and academic excellence.

ዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ የIntegrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) ፕሮጀክትን ከተሳካ የሙከራ ምዕራፍ በኋላ በይፋ የተረከበ ሲሆን፣ በዩኒቨርሲቲው ግቢ በተካሄደ ሥነ-ሥርዓት ይህ ተመልክቷል። በመርሃ ግብሩ ላይ ከገንዘብ ሚኒስቴር፣ ከIBEX/IFMIS ፕሮጀክት ቢሮ፣ ከዩኒቨርሲቲው የሥራ አስፈጻሚዎች እና ከፕሮጀክቱ አስተባባሪዎች የተውጣጡ ተወካዮች ተገኝተዋል።

IFMIS የመንግሥት የፋይናንስ አስተዳደርን ዘመናዊ፣ ዲጂታላዊ፣ ግልጽ እና ቀልጣፋ ለማድረግ የተዘጋጀ ሲስተም ሲሆን፣ በዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሙከራ ምዕራፉን በተሳካ ሁኔታ አጠናቋል። በዚህ ወቅትም ሲስተሙ የፋይናንስ ሥራዎችን በማቀላጠፍ እና የሀብት አጠቃቀምን በማሻሻል ረገድ ከፍተኛ ውጤት አሳይቷል።

በዝግጅቱ ላይ የዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ገብረሚካኤል ወልደገብርኤል ለፕሮጀክቱ ቡድን ምስጋናቸውን ገልጸው፣ ዩኒቨርሲቲው የሲስተሙን ስኬታማ አፈጻጸም በቀጣይነት ለማስጠበቅ ቁርጠኛ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል። የIFMIS ስኬታማ ትግበራም በዩኒቨርሲቲው ዲጂታል ትራንስፎርሜሽን ጉዞ ውስጥ ትልቅ ምዕራፍ መሆኑን አስታውቀዋል።

የአስተዳደርና ልማት ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት ተባባሪ ፕሮፌሰር ፅጋብ አረጋዊ በበኩላቸው ሲስተሙን ለማስፈጸም አስተዋጽኦ ላደረጉ ሁሉ ምስጋና አቅርበው፣ IFMIS ዘመናዊና ተጠያቂ የሆነ የፋይናንስ አስተዳደር ሥርዓት ለመገንባት ያለውን ወሳኝ ሚና አጉልተዋል።

ከገንዘብ ሚኒስቴር እና ከIFMIS ፕሮጀክት ቢሮ የተገኙ ተወካዮችም ዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ በIFMIS ትግበራ ሂደት ያሳየውን አርአያነት ያለው አፈጻጸም አድንቀው፣ ይህ ተነሳሽነት በሕዝብ ፋይናንስ አስተዳደር ዘርፍ ለቀጣይ ስኬትና ተጨማሪ ፈጠራ ጠንካራ መሠረት እንደሚሆን ገልጸዋል።

ኣመራርሓ ቦርድ ኮምፕርሄንሲቭ ስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል ዩኒቨርስቲ ዓዲግራት ኣብ ዙርያ ዝተፈላለዩ ዛዕባታት ብዕምቆት ዘትዩ ውሳነታት ኣመሓላሊፉ። ቦርድ እቲ ሆስፒታል ካብ ዝዘተየሎም ዛዕባታት ካብ ሐፈሻዊ ሆስፒታል ናብ ሪፈራል ሆስፒታል ዝግበር ስግግር ዘለው ፈተናታቱን መውፅኢ መንገድታቱን፣ ናይ 9 ወርሒ ናይ ስራሕ ኣፈፃፅማ ሪፖርት፣ ፀገማት ኣወሃባ ግልጋሎት ሕክምና፣ምስትክካል መሪሕነት እቲ ሆስፒታል ዝምልከት ሓዊሱ ካልኦትን ተዛትዩ እዩ።

እቲ ሆስፒታል ቅድሚ ናብ ዪኒቨርስቲ ምእታው ዝነበርዎ ውዙፋ ዘይተዓፀው ናይ ፋይናንስ ክፍሊታት ካብቲ ናይ ሕጊ አግባብ ተከቲሉ ክዕፆ ዝወሰነ ኮይኑ ምስ ክፍሊት ካሽ ተተሓሒዙ ዝፍጠር ዝነበረ ናይ አከፋፍላ ፀገማት ብህፁፅ ነዚ አገልግሎት ዝውዕል አካውንት ተከፊቱ ናብ ስራሕ ክውዕል እቲ ቦርድ ወሲኑ።

እቲ ሆስፒታል ዝሰርሖ ዘሎ ስራሕቲን ዘጋጥሙ ዕንቅፋታትን ንምፍታሕ ዘክእል ዋዕላ ህዝቢ ተገይሩ ተገልጋላይ ክፈልጦን አካል መፍትሒ ክከውንን ብህፁፅ ከም ዝስራሕን አብ ዝቅፅሉ 3 ኣዋርሓት ከም ክፍፀምን ተወሲኑ።

ዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርስቲ ስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል አብ ሽግግር ዝርከብ ኮይኑ እቲ ሽግግር ዕውት ንክኮን ብዙሕ ፃዕሪን ተከተታሊ ስልጠናታታት ይወሃቡ ከም ዘሎን እዙይ ክዓ ብኣወንታ ዝረአ ምኳኑን ተጠናኪሩ ክቅፅልን ቦርድ እቲ ሆስፒታል ኣመላኪቱ ኣሎ።

ነዞም ኣብ ላዕሊ ዝተነፀሩ ጉዳያት ናይ ኣፈፃፅማ ትልሚ ብምድላው ዝፍፀሙ ኮይኖም ዝበፅሕዎ ደረጃን አፈፃፅምኦምን ንምግምጋም ካልአይ መደበኛ ስብሰባ ቦርድ ዩኒቨርስቲ ዓዲግራት ኮምፕረሄንሲቭ ስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል ንሰነ 11/10/2018 ዓ/ም ከም ዘካይድ አቀሚጡ ስብሰብኡ ዛዚሙ እዩ።

Adigrat University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wegagen Bank to enhance institutional collaboration and expand access to modern mobile banking services for the university community. The agreement is part of ongoing efforts to promote digital financial inclusion and improve the efficiency and accessibility of financial services within the university system.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Gebremichael Weldegebriel on behalf of Adigrat University, reflecting the institution’s strategic direction toward digital transformation and strengthened service delivery. The partnership is expected to facilitate broader adoption of mobile banking solutions, thereby improving convenience and financial accessibility for students and staff.

On behalf of Wegagen Bank, Mr. Haftom Gebregzabher Chief of the North Region Office (Mekelle District), signed the agreement. He emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting higher education institutions through innovative digital banking services and sustainable institutional partnerships aimed at improving financial service delivery in the region.
