Adigrat University Provides Training on Trauma-Informed Classroom Management and Digital Literacy for Secondary School Teachers.

Adigrat University, through its Department of Teacher Education, organized a capacity-building training program for secondary school teachers and education office officials from Adigrat Town under the theme “Trauma-Informed Classroom Management.” The training aimed to enhance teachers’ psychosocial competencies and strengthen effective classroom management practices in post-crisis learning environments.

The program brought together university leaders, academic staff, officials from the Adigrat Town Education Office, and secondary school teachers from across the town.

Opening the event, Dr. Gebrekidan Tesfay, Vice President for Academic, Research, and Community Engagement, highlighted the long-standing partnership between Adigrat University and local schools. He emphasized the critical role of human capital development in community advancement and underscored the significant contribution teachers make to education, agricultural development, and urban transformation. He further noted the University’s commitment to strengthening technology-supported education and knowledge sharing, stressing the importance of teachers’ psychosocial well-being in creating productive learning environments.

Representing the Adigrat Town Education Office, Mr. Awraneh expressed appreciation for the University’s continued support to local schools and reaffirmed the office’s commitment to further strengthening its collaboration with the University.

As part of the training, Dr. Teklebrhan Gebremeskel delivered a comprehensive session on trauma, the psychological impacts of war and other crises, and modern pedagogical approaches for supporting learners affected by adversity. Particular emphasis was given to effective classroom management strategies and trauma-sensitive teaching practices.

In a separate session, Mr. Gebrekristos Gebru from the Department of Computer Science presented on “Digital Literacy Essentials, Information Sharing, and Communication Technologies,” providing participants with practical insights into digital tools and technology-enhanced teaching and learning.

The training equipped participants with valuable knowledge and skills in both psychosocial support and digital literacy. The program concluded with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, during which participants called for the continuation and expansion of similar capacity-building initiatives in the future.

በሀገር አቀፍ ደረጃ ሲሰጥ የቆየው የመውጫ ፈተና (Exit Exam) በዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲም በሰላምና በተሳካ ሁኔታ ተጠናቋል። የፈተናውን መጠናቀቅ ተከትሎ የዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዝዳንት ዶ/ር ገብረሚካኤል ወልደገብርኤል የምስጋና መልዕክት አስተላልፈዋል።

ፕሬዝዳንቱ በመልዕክታቸው ለፈተናው ዝግጅት ከተለያዩ ክፍሎች የተውጣጣ አብይ ግብረ ኃይል ተቋቁሞ ከዝግጅት ሥራ ጀምሮ ፈተናው እስከሚጠናቀቅበት ጊዜ ድረስ ከፍተኛ ርብርብ መደረጉንና ውጤታማ ሥራዎች መከናወናቸውን ገልጸዋል።

በተለይም ፈተናው ያለምንም የፀጥታ ችግር እና የቴክኒክ መስተጓጎል በሰላም መጠናቀቁ ለዩኒቨርሲቲው ትልቅ ስኬትና ኩራት መሆኑን አስታውቀዋል።

ፕሬዝዳንቱ በተጨማሪም በፈተናው ሂደት የላቀ አስተዋጽኦ ላበረከቱ ባለድርሻ አካላት ሁሉ ምስጋናቸውን ገልጸዋል። በተለይም ለኢትዮ ቴሌኮም፣ ለከተማው ኤሌክትሪክ አገልግሎት፣ ለዩኒቨርሲቲው የመረጃና መገናኛ ቴክኖሎጂ ዳይሬክቶሬት፣ ለሰላምና ደህንነት አካላት፣ እንዲሁም ለአመራሩና ለመላው ባለሙያ ሠራተኞች ዩኒቨርሲቲው ከልብ የመነጨ ምስጋናና ክብር እንደሚያቀርብ ገልጸዋል።

ከሰኔ 23 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ ለሚካሄደው የ12ኛ ክፍል ሀገር አቀፍ ፈተና በቂ ዝግጅት መደረጉን ያስታወቁት ፕሬዝዳንቱ፣ የመውጫ ፈተናውን የወሰዱ ተማሪዎች ጥሩ ውጤት እንዲያስመዘግቡ መልካም ምኞታቸውን ገልጸዋል።

እንዲሁም በዓዲግራትና በአካባቢው የሚገኙ በኦንላይን ፈተናቸውን የሚወስዱ የ12ኛ ክፍል ተማሪዎች በፈተናው ወቅት የቴክኒክ ችግር እንዳያጋጥማቸው የተለያዩ የልምምድና የዝግጅት ሥራዎች መከናወናቸውን ገልጸዋል።

በሌላ በኩል፣ የዓዲግራት ዩኒቨርሲቲ የፈተና ማዕከል ኃላፊ ረ/ፕሮፌሰር ታደሰ ብርሃነ እንደገለጹት፣ ዩኒቨርሲቲው በቴክኖሎጂ ዘርፍ ያለውን ከፍተኛ አቅምና ልምድ በመጠቀም በቂ ዝግጅት ማድረጉ፣ እንዲሁም ተማሪዎች የፈተና ሥርዓቱን አክብረው በመፈተናቸው ፈተናው በሰላምና በተሳካ ሁኔታ መጠናቀቁን ገልጸዋል።

መድረኩን የከፈቱት የማህበረሰብ ተሳትፎና ሽግግር አገልግሎት ዳይሬክተር መምህር ፀጌ አሰፋ ሲሆኑ፣ በንግግራቸው የስልጠናውን ዓላማና አስፈላጊነት በማብራራት ሕገ-ወጥ የሰው ዝውውር በግለሰቦችና በማህበረሰብ ላይ የሚያስከትለውን ከባድ ተፅዕኖ አስገንዝበዋል።

ከሕግ ትምህርት ክፍል መምህር ጎይቶኦም ሙዕዝ በበኩላቸው ስለ ሕገ-ወጥ የሰው ዝውውር ምንነት፣ መንስኤዎች፣ የሕግ ማዕቀፎች እና በሰው ንግድ ዙሪያ የሚፈጸሙ ሕገ-ወጥ ተግባራት ላይ ሰፊ ማብራሪያና ትንታኔ አቅርበዋል።

በተጨማሪም መምህር ስእለይ ሺለሺ ለችግሩ መንስኤ የሚሆኑ ሁኔታዎችና የመከላከያ ስልቶች ዙሪያ ገለፃ ሰጥተዋል። እንደገለጹት ሥራ አጥነት፣ የፖለቲካ አለመረጋጋት እና ተያያዥ ማህበራዊ ችግሮች ሰዎችን ለሕገ-ወጥ የሰው ዝውውር ተጋላጭ ያደርጋሉ። ችግሩን ለመከላከልም ከማህበረሰቡ ጋር በቅንጅትና በትብብር መስራት ወሳኝ መሆኑን አስረድተዋል።

በመጨረሻም ተሳታፊዎች በጉዳዩ ዙሪያ ያላቸውን ሃሳቦች በማካፈል፣ ሕገ-ወጥ የሰው ዝውውርን ለመከላከል ሁሉም አካላት በጋራና በተቀናጀ መንገድ መስራት እንዳለባቸው አጽንኦት ሰጥተዋል። በውይይቱም ቀጣይ ሥራዎችን በተጠናከረ ሁኔታ ማስቀጠል እንደሚያስፈልግ ተጠቁሟል።

AT-Con Consulting today delivered the final presentation on the Master Plan and Zoning of the Adigrat University Comprehensive Hospital in the presence of key stakeholders and university officials.

The session was officially opened by Dr. Gebremicael Weldegebriel, President of Adigrat University, who welcomed participants and underscored the importance of clarifying critical aspects of the project before its approval. The Project Manager, Mr. Merhawi, presented the final design revisions, highlighting efforts made to minimize rework and ensure full compliance with the approved Master Plan and Zoning framework

The presentation covered the hospital’s architectural design, electrical, sanitary, and mechanical systems, including modern water supply and waste management facilities. Special attention was given to spatial planning, infrastructure integration, and implementation phases.

Among the participants were Ato Redea Gebreegazabher, Mayor of Adigrat Town, council representatives, and members of the university community. Attendees provided valuable feedback and recommendations aimed at strengthening the project.

The discussions emphasized the importance of collaboration, transparency, and effective implementation to ensure the successful development of a sustainable, modern, and functional healthcare facility that will serve the community and the region.
